Abhinav Das is a graduate student at the University of Arizona, majoring in Management Information Systems, with an expected graduation date of 2023. He is an aspiring Product Manager with a strong passion for the fields of Big Data, Data Science, and Data Management. He has 2.35 years of relevant experience in the industry, having previously worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco Systems. Abhinav's curiosity about how data could become the most significant resource in the coming years led him to pursue an Information Science Engineering degree. During his undergraduate curriculum, he built a solid quantitative and analytical foundation by working on various projects. He also interned with mCaffeine as a marketing growth hacker, where he performed market basket analysis with R and came up with potential product combinations and marketing offers. This initiative led to a substantial increase in sales figures in the B2C vertical. At Cisco Systems, Abhinav worked on various initiatives with a focus on network manageability and automation. His incremental deliverables and customer success motivated his seniors to offer him a promotion. As part of his further responsibilities, he co-developed a dashboard that integrates a prediction model with historical statistical analysis and projects the trends of incoming issues. This initiative improved customer experience and saved resources significantly for the company. Abhinav's primary interests lie in the fields of Big Data, Data Science, and Data Management that can lead to actionable insights by virtue of predictive data modeling coupled with machine learning and optimization strategies. He is strongly influenced by Product Managers in the field and their contribution to finding trends and solving complex problems related to data using their analytical expertise, social skills, and technology intent. Abhinav is confident that his constant zeal to develop technical expertise with focused business acumen is helping him grow professionally and individually by gaining skills that will help him succeed as a Product Manager. Currently, he is working as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management, where he is assisting in teaching MIS 443 - Business Data Communication and Networking.
